Kabaa weaving craft

Materials needed

• Scissors
• Hot glue gun
• Ruler
• Pencil
• String
• 4 Paddle pop sticks (I used ones 19cm in length)
• Different textures of black ribbons or fabric
• Gold ribbon

Step 1: Hot glue gun 4 paddle pop sticks in a square shape.

Step 2: Using a ruler and pencil mark out where you string will go. I chose to measure mine at 1.5cm.

Step 3: Hot glue gun the string, make sure to keep the string taut.

Step 4: Cut your ribbons and fabric to an appropriate size.

Step 5: Time for your child/ren to make their very Kaaba weave.

Step 6: Teach them to alternate each ribbon, making sure they begin with one above and the other under.

Step 7: Once your child has finished you will then need to use a hot glue gun to secure the ribbon to the paddle pop stick.

Step 8: Using white string make a loop to hang up your finished Kaaba. Hot glue in place.
